In fiscal year 2016, University of Dayton had $117.6 million in research sponsorship – making them No. 9 nationally for sponsored research among private, comprehensive research universities without medical schools. To top it off, the University is the No. 1 Catholic university for sponsored engineering research and development – and No. 2 nationally for federally sponsored materials research and development.
